Aurora Parts is a leading provider of aftermarket service solutions for heavy-duty trailering equipment in North America. With over 450 suppliers across North America, Aurora’s five distribution centers service carriers and technicians by providing parts and repair services to keep supplies moving.

For over five years, Aurora Parts has been a Transportation Insight (TI) customer, leveraging TI’s multimodal solutions across truckload, LTL and parcel solutions.

Insight for Expansion

Aurora began with a distribution center in its Lebanon, Indiana, location and has added four more locations to reach more customers across North America since 2016. Analysis from TI’s Supply Chain Analytics team informed the Aurora team during the expansion process, ensuring optimal placement of centers based on demand.

Driving with Data

For Aurora’s customers to keep moving, urgency is a priority. Aurora can service 77% of all customers within one transit day, often through multi-stop truckload and LTL shipments. So, having the technology to manage complex routing while providing visibility is critical.

With Insight TMS, TI’s TMS, Aurora’s carriers are now able to provide customers with an estimated delivery time, updating as the route progresses. All data from Insight TMS is fed into dashboards and reports for Beon Insight to measure carrier performance, on-time delivery and more.

Hands-on Insight

With Beon Insight, TI provides data for Aurora to provide the cutting-edge technology their customers expect.

“For the past five years, TI has collaborated with Aurora Parts to manage our transportation across modes. As we have expanded our operations to provide one-day transit to many of our customers, TI’s technology – including Beon Insight – gives us the information we need to continue to grow and optimize our business.”
